Walking Together

grupo pequeno

Vision

To love God and love one another.

Our Mission

To be a family of faith, walking side by side with Latino and immigrant families, sharing God’s Word, building community, and supporting them through life’s challenges.

Values

Christ-centered

Jesus Christ is the center of our faith, our hope, and our life as a church (John 14:6).

Biblical

The Bible is our guide to knowing God and living according to His will (2 Timothy 3:16–17).

Hospitality

We welcome each person with love and respect, reflecting the welcoming heart of Christ (Romans 15:7).

Missional

We believe that the church is sent to share the gospel and serve the world with compassion (Matthew 28:19–20).

Reformed and Renewing

We live our faith in the Reformed tradition, always seeking to be renewed by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:2).

What We Believe

Bible

We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Bible is the supreme source of truth and constitutes the divine rule of faith and Christian practice.

God

We believe in one God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect, Almighty, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross as the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Furthermore, He rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven where He intercedes for His people and reigns as Lord over all. Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, the third person of the Trinity, whose ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate the believing sinner. He indwells believers, comforts, guides, instructs, and empowers them for godly living and service.

Humanity

We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God to have fellowship with Him, but fell into sin and is therefore lost, incapable of restoring the relationship with God by its own efforts; salvation is received by grace through faith in the sacrifice of Jesus, and is not a natural attribute, but a gift from God.

Salvation

We believe that the Gospel is the good news of Jesus: that Christ died for our sins and rose again. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection are the sole basis for the justification and salvation of all who believe in their hearts and confess with their mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, being regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thus becoming children of God.

Church

We believe that the true Church is composed of all people who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united in the body of Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the Church and that each local church has the right, under Christ, to govern its own affairs. The members of the Church are those who trust by faith in the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus and making Him known to the world.

Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life in heaven with glorified bodies, and the lost to eternal condemnation.
